Chess Heights Plateau Monthly of June 3, 2023 had many stars in attendance some of which were Naomi Monday, Deborah Agwom, Bala Salihu, Fuenshak Othman, Lucky Keyi, Kingsley Ezeadireje, and Daniel Yakubu amongst others.
On this premier debut of Chess Heights on the stunning Plateau, it was Kingsley Ezeadireje that shone the brightest. Starting of with victory as black over Jedidiah Udoh, he trounced the organizer Philips Udoh as white in the 2nd round. Round 3 was a tough black win against star boy Daniel Yakubu, while round 4 was an even tougher win against former national champion Bala Salihu. In round 5, it was Keyi Lucky’s turn to feel the wrath of the in form King, who allowed a round 6 draw to emerge as the first Chess Heights champion of Plateau state.
